Z.E.N.’s organic produce comes from Oxnard, Santa Maria, and the Ojai valley — under three hours from our kitchen — and our fish supplier delivers fresh catch from San Pedro five mornings a week. The shorter supply chain matters: a Pacific cod portion is in your meal within 36 hours of being caught, not 5-7 days like supermarket fish. Pasture-raised chicken and grass-fed beef come from California ranches that we’ve worked with since 2008. Every protein label tells you the source.
From Newport to San Clemente
Our OC route covers the full county, from the Long Beach border down to San Clemente. Coastal towns (Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Dana Point) get morning delivery between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. so families heading to early soccer or surf get the meals on the way out. Inland communities (Irvine, Mission Viejo, Anaheim, Fullerton, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Lake Forest) deliver between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. If you’re inside the 5, 405, 55, or 73 corridors, you’re in our zone. Outside the county, ask about our extended delivery routes.

Do you have meal plans for kids?
Yes — our Family Dinner Program ships kid-portion entrees alongside adult plans. Kid meals include turkey sloppy joes, chicken tenders with sweet-potato wedges, mac and cheese with hidden vegetables, baked fish and chips, and mild salmon. Portion sizes are calibrated for ages 5-12.
What’s the difference between Z.E.N. and Sun Basket / HelloFresh in OC?
Z.E.N. ships fully cooked organic meals — no recipe cards, no chopping, no stove time. Sun Basket and HelloFresh send raw ingredients you cook yourself. If you have time to cook 4-5 nights a week, those services can be cheaper. If you don’t, Z.E.N. delivers the finished meal.
Can I order just dinner, not three meals a day?
Yes — our Family Dinner Program is dinner-only and ships three or five evenings per week. You can also build a custom plan with breakfast or lunch added if you want certain days fully covered.
Do you accommodate gluten-free or dairy-free in OC?
Yes — flag dietary restrictions in your account dashboard and we’ll filter your weekly menu automatically. Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and shellfish-free are standard options. Stricter requests (FODMAP, low-histamine) need a 24-hour notice on each order.
