Food can be heated in a mini-convection oven, a microwave or a conventional oven.

Mini-convection oven: Remove the meal from its container and place on an oven safe dish. Heat in the oven at 300 F^o for 7-10 minutes or until hot.

Microwave: For best results, remove lid and place damp paper towel over the food to keep it moist.

No, each client's meals will be portioned according to individual needs and circumstances.

Z.E.N. Foods allows you to choose up to 3 "dislikes" or "allergies" for free. Additional dislikes, up to 8 choices, incur an additional $3.00 per day fee. Important: We do not accommodate severe allergies such as nut or shellfish allergies at this time.

7 days is the minimum order for all Z.E.N. Foods programs, however, deliveries can be scheduled for as little as one day per week to accommodate most schedules.

Z.E.N. Foods' meals are packed in an insulated cooler bag with reusable ice packs to ensure your meals remain cold and fresh. We recommend you to refrigirate the items immidiately after you open your cooler bag.

Yes, as long as the alternate address is within our delivery area. 24-hour notice is required. If delivering to an office building, there must be security available to receive your meals.

Yes, each Z.E.N. Foods bag is secured with a tamper resistant break-away tab.

Ice packs and cooler bags are to be placed outside each evening to be collected by the driver when he is dropping off the next day’s meals. The meal containers should be placed in your recyclable trash.

Please contact your consultant to schedule a bag pick if you forget to return a bag. There is a $25 charge for each bag that is not returned.

You may call your Z.E.N. Foods consultant and suspend meals, giving a 3-business-day lead time. Suspended meals will be added to the end of your current program.

Beverage of choice is always water. Three servings of green tea per day has also proven to be an enhancement to sound nutrition and weight loss.

If you choose to drink alcohol, it is best that you have your drink with a meal. Since alcohol is a carbohydrate, you should cut back your carbohydrates at that meal. The food in your stomach will slow down the sugar absorption rate into your blood stream and assist in keeping your insulin levels from spiking.

Yes, within one hour of working out, you should have a light snack containing a source of protein. Never work out on an empty stomach.
