As Co-Founder and President, Kane Picoy is the responsible for strategic planning and operational leadership of Z.E.N. Foods.
With 16 years of food industry experience, including the COO position at Fresh Dining, Kane leads the Z.E.N. Foods team with the aspiration to be the very best in all aspects of the Home Delivery Industry. Kane’s extensive research and commitment to excellence inspires him to research and implement the most innovative concepts of top line food production facilities, in order to bring the highest level of service and product to Z.E.N. clients.
Kane has effectively developed methods to streamline the flow of food assembly and safety procedures. Kane’s leadership and passion for excellence, motivates the Z.E.N. Foods Staff to execute service of the highest caliber.
He is an expert at maintaining strict protocol in all areas of operations from receiving, quality control, packaging, bagging and delivery. His attention to excellence makes him the perfect counterpart to implement procedures, processes and protocol in the kitchen with regard to staffing and function.
Kane played the lead roll in the construction of the Z.E.N. Foods Facility, placing the appropriate equipment in the proper sequential order to not only produce the highest quality of product but to also enable the company to function at the highest degree of productivity.
In addition to procedures and process development, Kane takes extreme pride and time in developing team members from entry level and growing into team leaders and supervisors. He takes these individuals under his wing and spends time with them one-on-one to teach and explain the importance of their positions and commitment to pride in their work. Kane Picoy holds certifications in food management and safety and attended San Diego University and Cal State Northridge as a film major.
